How we teach at Springfield
- Medium term plans are based around a series of topics. There is a whole school curriculum 2 year overview detailing when objectives will be taught across the school.
- We base our teaching on a mastery curriculum where we immerse the children in subjects and topics giving them time to use and apply knowledge, skills and understanding.
- Literacy and Numeracy objectives are planned from the National Curriculum. Cross curricular links are identified and made.
- Setting takes place in KS2 for Maths. This enables the teaching to focus on a particular age range or level of ability.
- The RE scheme of work is based on the agreed Pan Berkshire syllabus.
- Nursery and Foundation stage 2 follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
