Relationship Education (RSE) at Springfield
At Springfield through the Jigsaw RSHE programme of study and resources we aim to provide pupils with the tools they need to become lifelong learners and citizens of their local and the wider global community.
As a school we teach the topics over a 2 – year period. In September 2021 we will begin with the Year 1, 3 and 5 topics. Staff will adapt as necessary when delivering the content.
The Jigsaw Relationships and Health Education and Sex Education is a planned programme of learning through which pupils acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to be able to manage their lives. Lessons develop the qualities and attributes pupils need to thrive as individuals, family members and members of society. Through our lessons we promote both school and British Values. When children leave Springfield, we aim for them to be happy and confident individuals who are well prepared for the next stage of their education.
Knowledge organisers showing progression by age group are available to parents on request. Due to copyright as we are no longer permitted to display them on the website.
