Relationship Education (RSE) at Springfield
At Springfield (through the Jigsaw RSHE programme of study and resources) we aim to provide pupils with the tools they need to become lifelong learners and citizens of their local and the wider global community.
We follow the Jigsaw PSHE scheme and teach the following six units over the year:
Being Me In My World.
Celebrating Difference
Dreams and Goals
Healthy Me
Relationships
Changing Me
The Jigsaw scheme (including Relationships, Health Education and Sex Education) is a planned progressive programme of learning, through which pupils acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to be able to manage their lives. Lessons develop the qualities and attributes pupils need to thrive as individuals, family members and members of society. Through our lessons we promote both school and British Values. When children leave Springfield, we aim for them to be happy and confident individuals who are well prepared for the next stage of their education.
Knowledge organisers showing progression by age group are available to parents on request. Due to copyright as we are no longer permitted to display them on the website.
