Autumn Term in EYFS

We began the Autumn term in Foundation with a focus on the story ‘Owl Babies’ by Martin Waddell. We have followed this with the story ‘Peace at Last’ by Jill Murphy and are enjoying lots of different learning activities based on this. We will be exploring our school value ‘Belonging’ and talking about and sharing photos of our families.

We are also keen to explore the children's interests during the term.

Other Information

We will be sending library books home each week on a Tuesday for you to share, enjoy and discuss together at home.

Reading books for Tawny and Snowy Owls will be changed when they have been read and the home-link book signed.. They are sent home on Wednesdays.

Sometimes we’ll ask the children to research a topic at home and share what they have found out with their peers in school.

If you have any questions or concerns please do speak to a member of the Foundation team and we’ll do our best to help.

We look forward to a busy and fun-filled term.
